What it taught us.
-
UX comes first
A proven genre is only a start. How the game feels is what matters most.
-
Play it your way
We keep monetization light so players can play the way they want.
-
Polish is critical
With this much competition, the finish is what makes a game worth staying with.
About the game
Plants Match was our learning exercise. We built a matching game with more than 150 levels of house plants so we could learn what actually makes someone keep playing.
UX matters more than a proven genre. Monetization stays light, so players can play the way they want. And polish is critical, because the competition is crowded. The game is retired. Those lessons are in the games we ship now.
Where it led
The matching game those lessons became.
